With room for 4 or more, a pop up cabin tent is a bit of luxury in the woods. Combine it with one or two air mattresses and even some chairs and you have a home away from home.
All pop up cabin tents are not created equally though. Some don’t open like they should and others are plagued with quality control issues. To pick a good one, you need to spend hours doing the research, or you can just let me do it. Here is what I found.

Available for a reasonable price and in 4 different sizes, this pop up tent represents one of the greatest values in the segment. Like all tents, you want to go a size up, so if you plan to actually sleep 4 people you would want to go with a 6 person tent.
Going up in size will also give you a taller tent. The 4 person tent will have an interior height of just under 5 feet while the 8 and 10 person tents will give you nearly 6.5 feet of height. If you want to stand while you get dresses, go with the bigger size.
Why I Like It
This tent gives you a lot of features for the money. The 4 person starts around 100 dollar and you can get the 10 foot version for around 200 bucks. For that you get a tent that 1 person can put up in under 60 seconds with an advanced ventilation system and nice little features like electrical cord access
I also like the separate rain-fly because it gives you the ability to expose a mesh ceiling. On hot and dry nights, you will really appreciate this.

Being a 4 person tent, this one is on the smaller size, but if you only need to sleep 2, it might be a good choice. It comes in 9 different colors ranging from blend in to “hey look at me” and boasts a 30 second set up time. The canopy is a nice feature, blocking some sunlight and making entry and exit in rain a bit easier.
Why I Like It
I like an open air tent on nice nights. Remove the rain-fly and you will find a massive mesh roof giving you a nice view of the night sky and excellent ventilation. The 2 year warranty on the tent is nice too.
